RACER PROFILE This is something new we are trying this year. Basically, it is an attempt to shorten the racer registration line, it's pre-registration. You will still pay at the gate. Depending on how well this is received by you the racer, we will add more features as we go, for example paying on-line. We will have all waivers and tech sheets on-line for you to print and fill out in advance. Once at the event, you will drive into the express lane for speedy processing. We hope you find this change to your benefit. Watch for more benefits as we race through the 2011 season.
SUNSET DRAG STRIP in Mercer PA is yet another change for this season. To better serve our Clarion Airport racing friends north of Pittsburgh, we added Sunset to the schedule. We have two dates confirmed, May 7th and June 4th. Gates open at 4:00, racing is from 5:00 until 11:00 PM. Yes, under the lights again! These dates are the first Saturdays of each month. If the event works to everyone's satisfaction, especially Alex's (the track owner), we will confirm more dates for the remainer of the 2011 season.
I want to thank Alex for letting us try the Flashlight Drags at his track. Alex has owned and operated this facility since 1959. His racers are like his family. Anyone who has ever raced there knows how well he treats his racers. We hope to live up to his high standard of racer satisfaction.
